The Daily Nexus is the student run newspaper at UC Santa Barbara. I worked as a copy editor during all four years of my undergraduate education, with a promotion to Chief Copy Editor in my final year. I also did production for two years. Although the Nexus was printed five days a week during my time there, the changing industry has significantly reduced the frequency of print issues today. Content is regularly posted exclusively online and promoted on social media.

My duties included layout adjustment, flowing article text, creating graphics, writing headlines, proofreading, and posting to WordPress.
